“Charlie has developed a refined ear for story-telling. He can immediately sense when something is off and tell you how to course correct. His insights are spot on and the way he ties everything back to craft and structure is incredibly helpful when executing his suggestions. The supportive and collaborative environment he has fostered makes the process of creation joyful and exciting.”

“Sometimes in casting I've learned that if actors are turning a role down, there's a problem with the writing. Charlie is able to pinpoint this and suggest re-writes to the screenwriters and producers to make the role more appealing to the actor while also enriching the story. Charlie has been instrumental in solving problems with script development on several occasions. His insights on character, and plot development have helped vastly when a project needed a fresh perspective.”
Nancy Bishop CSA, Producer, Casting Director
“It’s amazing how quickly Charlie can dissect a script and tell you where it’s working and where it’s not working. I wish my doctors were as good diagnosticians as he is.”

“I first came to Charlie’s screenwriting class with a skeleton of an idea and barely a single scene. Since then, I’ve been able to complete several short plays, a television pilot, and a full draft of a feature-length screenplay. Charlie’s deep knowledge of dramatic writing structure combined with his easygoing and encouraging approach make classes productive and fun. If you have an idea, Charlie will help you find a way to put it on the page.”
